We are looking for interns who want to operate in a real trading environment, not sit on the sidelines. This role is focused on learning markets, supporting execution, and contributing to trade ideas across domestic and international agricultural markets.

At Merus, interns are actively involved in live trades, logistics, and market decisions. Perform, and you’ll earn responsibility and a path to a full-time role.

• Monitor grain, feed, and food markets including pricing, supply/demand, weather, and logistics
• Support trade analysis and help identify opportunities
• Build models to evaluate costs, spreads, and profitability
• Assist in deal execution including contracting, scheduling, and logistics coordination
• Work with rail, trucking, and shipping logistics
• Communicate with suppliers, brokers, and customers
• Track trades and support performance analysis

• Strong communication skills, especially on the phone. You’re comfortable picking it up, making calls, and having real conversations
• Hunger and drive. You want to win, improve, and push yourself in a competitive environment
• Ability to think quickly and stay composed when things are moving fast
• Willingness to take initiative and figure things out without waiting to be told
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with numbers and spreadsheets
• Interest in commodities, agriculture, logistics, or trading
• Current student pursuing a degree in Economics, Ag Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related
